Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk – Immediate Start
Cardiff – Temporary for approx. 2-3 Months + (Potential of Permanent)
£13.49 – £14.00 Per Hour + Holiday Pay
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Cardiff for an experienced purchase ledger clerk. The position is being offered initially on a temporary basis for approximately 2-3 months. The role could be extended and even turn permanent for the successful candidate.
Working as part of a friendly finance team, the successful candidate will be required to deal with the purchase ledger process from start to finish.
The role would suit an individual that has worked within purchase ledger previously and is able to come in and hit the ground running. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager your responsibilities will include:
- High volume input of data entry invoices, coding and checking invoice details
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Raise purchase order requisitions, match invoices to the purchase orders and check for any variances
- Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving queries from the accounts payable inbox
- Processing payment runs
- Assisting with staff expenses and credit cards
- Regular review of the aged creditors reports
- Supporting month and year end procedures
- Supporting another purchase ledger clerk with their workload
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are highly desirable
Person specification:
- Team player
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- AAT studier would be highly advantageous
Our client offers excellent working conditions and the opportunity to work for a well-established and long-standing employer within the local area. My client is looking ideally for an immediate start but if you are on a shorter notice period, my client could wait.
Hours are Monday – Friday 37 hours per week and the role will be office based initially, but when you are up and running you can work 50% of your time from home and 50% of your time in their Central Cardiff offices.
