Urgently Required – Purchase Ledger Clerk – Temporary Opportunity approx. 2 Months +

£12.71 Per Hour + Holiday Pay
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for one of our prestigious Third Sector clients. Ideally, my client is seeking a candidate with previous exposure of working within a high transactional processing environment, preferably on the Purchase Ledger side however, they will also consider applications from candidates that are looking to make an entrance into the accountancy profession, in order to gain invaluable experience on your CV!
The role is being offered initially for approximately 2 months, but may even be extended or turn permanent for the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Investigating and posting invoices through a variety of their financial systems
- Preparation and processing of supplier payment runs, dealing with ad hoc payments, BACS payments and associated reconciliations
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Monitoring of the shared mailbox and actioning queries from both internal and external stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships
- Posting and coding journals to the finance system
- Assist with any administration tasks in relation to the accounts payable as and when required
- Deal with ad hoc tasks as and when required by the senior management team
The successful candidate must possess strong Excel skills, to Intermediate level and enjoy working to tight deadlines. The ability to communicate with all levels of people is vital coupled with an inquisitive and ‘can do’ attitude.
The role will be home-based however, you will be required to go into their offices for collection of equipment, training purposes and a monthly team meeting.
