Assistant Accountant – Swansea Vale
Temporary assignment, with the potential to turn permanent!
£13.50 – £16.00 Per Hour + Holiday Pay (DOE)
An interesting and hands-on opportunity has arisen for an experienced technical Assistant Accountant. My client is in the process of expanding and they require a hands-on individual, to come in and assist with a variety of tasks in order to support the Management Accountant and wider accounts department.
The successful candidate must possess strong IT skills and in particular love working with Excel in order to interpret and manipulate data. Initially, the post will be for approximately 2 months, whilst they recruit for the role on permanent capacity. However, if you were to impress, there is a strong chance that the role may be extended, even turn permanent!
My client is looking for the successful individual to be based at their Head Offices. Reporting and working closely with the Management Accountant and supporting the sales ledger team, you will be required to deal with a variety of tasks. You will possess a strong transactional background having dealt with purchase/sales ledger processing and bank reconciliations previously and enjoy trouble-shooting and solving problems.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Bank reconciliations
- Monitoring CAPEX spend
- Processing transactions
- Producing reports and summarising financial information
- Sales ledger invoicing
- Assisting with the credit control function
- Dealing with queries
- Entering data onto their inhouse system and manipulating and exporting data
- dealing with queries and general financial administrative tasks as and when required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential for this role
