A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in the South Wales area to work for a global organisation. My client is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant with a strong emphasis on the project management side to come in and support them with ‘Best Practice’ on their new accounting software. The role is expected to last approximately 3 months however, there is the potential of an extension for the right candidate.
Working and reporting into the Head of Finance you will be required to investigate, plan and document your findings, in order to assist with implementing a change programme, which will ultimately enable the finance department to become efficient and adaptable to future reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understand and evaluate their internal financial reporting package
- Provide solutions for issues identified in the accounts/systems
- Act as the agent for change, drive transformational change to improve the way finance operates around end to end processes
- Document processes and flow charts to aid with the training of staff
- Responsibility for providing solutions for purchase ordering, budgeting, forecasting and Business Intelligence which meet with the requirements of the organisation
- Assist with ‘Best Practice’ ensuring all future training documentation is provided
My client will consider applicants with a strong Project Management background, having worked with a variety of finance systems and within a similar role previously.
The successful candidate will be expected to come in and have the ability to learn quickly and work individually and as part of a larger team. You must possess excellent all-round communication skills. The role will be a mixture of office based and home working, 37.5 hours per week.
