What is your recruitment background?

Within my professional career, I’ve mostly been within sales roles until more recently moving into the recruitment industry. I’ve spent the last 14 months prior to joining Now Careers successfully placing white-collar professionals into the Civil Engineering market.

Making the transition from sales to recruitment was quite easy as the skills are very transferable. I’ve also found that I much prefer working within recruitment, as the satisfaction gained from placing a candidate into a better-suited role is a great feeling.

Why did you join Now Careers?

Apart from Robbie James selling me the dream, Now Careers carry a strong reputation within the industry and hold a lot of weight within the market.

I have wanted to move into the IT/Software market for a while, and following the success of the IT & Software division from the beginning, it seemed like the only option to really make a name for myself within the market.

Away from recruitment, what do you do?

I have always been a keen sportsperson and enjoy playing rugby as Scrum Half within my team. As well as this, I also play squash, partaking in half marathons and powerboating.
