Our story starts with humble beginnings in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham where our CEO Gary Redman (then 23) setup solo with a vision to do something that would make an impact.

With an undeniable passion for people, this has been at the forefront of the business since day one. Fast-forward to present-day and NOW Careers has a national presence with offices spanning the UK with over 100 employees and serving clients across the Accountancy & Finance, HR, Construction, IT & Software and Mechanical & Electrical sectors. The team may have grown, but Gary’s vision and work ethic remain stronger and more significant than ever. We are here to challenge the recruitment industry and put the focus back on what the industry is all about; people.

Our Story...

1992

Gary began trading under the name Skillman Contract Services in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham with just an A4 pad, a phone and a Rolodex to start his business.

2000

With the start of a new millennium, the business rebranded to Now Recruitment.

2005

The business expanded globally with our first Australian office opening in Sydney.

2012

The business rebranded once more to NOW Careers, a name that represents our forward thinking ethos and our commitment to fulfilling career aspirations, not just jobs.

Today

NOW Careers is growing everyday and our story is far from over; this is a new era of people pursuing careers and building a lifestyle they deserve - we’re here to help make that happen.
